1966年，Dolly签约Monument盟下，推出了《Coat Of Many Colours》、《Last Thing On My Mind》、《Better More It On Home》和《Please Don't Stop Loving Me》等歌曲，逐渐确立起在歌坛中的地位。1976年，Dolly 凭藉着动感逼人，活力四射的《Baby I'm Burning》和颇见歌唱功力的《House O The Rising Sun》、《Highter And Highter》闯入了美国流行歌曲排行榜。
