2004年，为纪念巴金百年诞辰，上海沪剧院邀请了著名导演吴思远，排演了沪剧《家》。但由于场面太大，布景繁杂，无法长期公演。2007年《家》，编剧余雍和与导演曹其敬2004版基础上作新构思，精心打磨，围绕瑞珏组织剧情。体现江南水乡特色，并力求精巧，以方便巡演。瑞珏既善良贤惠又宽容坚韧，她身上集中了中国妇女所有的优良美德，是“真善美的化身”。在戏里，从开始的洞房花烛到最后瑞珏在郊外奄奄一息，为瑞珏设计了大段唱腔。7月8日起，这出集中了沪剧院中坚力量的沪剧《瑞珏》将在逸创作的《瑞珏》，相比原著《家》的宏大场面，以“瑞珏”为视角，通过她的心路历程，通过她从一个纯洁的少女而最终走向悲剧结局的过程，来展示“家”的没落。在具有江南水乡特色的新“家”中，茅善玉与钱思剑联手，将瑞珏与觉新的情感世界演绎得细致入微、出情动人。从首尾呼应的“洞房对唱”到“雪夜诀别”，从全新创作的“花园谈心”到高老太爷死后、战乱之中的“二人世界”，一段段淋漓尽致的新编唱腔，生动展现了瑞珏的善良、贤惠与宽容，赢得了现场观众的阵阵掌声。
