干球温度、湿球温度、露点温度都是和空气湿度测量有关的物理量，测量空气湿度的一种常用方法是干湿球法，用一个干球温度计和一个湿球温度计分别测量干湿球温度，然后根据干球温度和干湿球温度差得到实际的空气相对湿度。湿球温度计由于水分蒸发带走热量温度会低于干球温度计，空气湿度越低，蒸发量越大，湿球温度和干球温度之差也就越大，所以干湿球法可以很好地测量空气湿度。
露点温度是空气相对湿度的另一种表达方式，是当空气中的水汽含量不变的情况下，出现凝露的温度，由于空气中的水汽含量越高就越容易凝露，露点温度就越高，所以露点温度也是空气湿度测量的一种较常用的方法。
