prayer (拜功)is one of the most important acts in the branches of islam.It is a way to worship Allah （安拉）showing love and devotion to Him.It keeps the soul and mind free from any pollution such as paganism.Prayer is also a cleansing agent for our hearts and soul.It brings spiritual happiness and prevents our soul from becoming depressed,dull,or sad.When making prayer a habit,it discourages carelessness and helps to progress oneself in life.If a person's prayer is accepted,then other acts of worship are accepted.If a person thinks that prayer is unimportant and ordinary,then he is like the person who does not pray.the word "prayer"in Arabic （阿拉伯语）is"Salat"（甩俩太）and in Urdu （乌尔都语）and persian（波斯语） it is"namaz" （乃妈子）。
每日五时拜功：
Fajr（晨礼）from dawn before sunrise 黎明至太阳升起
Duhur（晌礼）between the declining of the sun&Asr午后至太阳偏西45
Asr（晡礼）immediately after the last time limit of Dhuhr until just before sunset 太阳偏西45至落山
Mghrib（昏礼）soon after the sunset until the disappearance of the twilight 晚霞出现至消失
Isha（宵礼）after the disappearance of the twilight until midnight 。晨礼之前
there is a very much emphasis prayer“Witr”（威特尔---奇数拜）after Isha 宵礼之后，加礼三拜
before prayer must do Wudu（小净）
Qiblah（朝向）：it is the direction，which Muslims face in while performing prayers。It is in the direction of Kabah（天房） in Makkah（麦加）
