第一个问题：首先，find sb adj to do sth这是一个句式，him是宾语，那么后面的内容便是宾语补足语哦。若是把him换成he，就可以加is了，当然，这就是一个宾语从句了哦。
后面的那个也是一样的，find sth\sb doingsth是一个宾语补足语，所以省掉了is，若是加了is，那么后面就成了：the company is making an invention这样的宾语从句了哦
第二个问题：首先，必须要明确alive的意思，alive是一个形容词，是活着的意思。
然后用我说的那个句式来套一下，只能用alive哦。
你说的结构很对哦，这是常见的V+宾语+宾补 结构，以find为例：
1.find+宾语(sb./sth.)+宾补(形容词)He found the text difficult to understand.他发现这篇课文很难理解。
2.find+宾语+宾补(名词/代词)You will find her a beautiful girl.你会发现她是一个漂亮的女孩。
3.find+宾语+宾补(副词)Mary hurried there,only to find them all out.玛丽匆匆赶到那里,结果却发现他们都出去了。
4.find+宾语+宾补(介词短语)When he woke up,he found himself in hospital.当他醒来时,发现自己在医院里。
5.find+宾语+宾补(不定式)They find the Chinese people to be happy and cheerful.他们发现中国人很幸福快乐。
前面found加宾补的结构，find sb.／sth. adj.
第二个found也是一个道理，find sb./sth. v-ing 表示状态，发现这个公司现在的状态
第三个同第一个，加的形容词，表状态，发现我的朋友还活着，活着表示一种状态
1 原句中found sth/sb adj/pp/v-ing 是固定的词组。
2 alive是非限定形容词，是形容词的一种，原句正确。
alived 就没这个词。
