前天写了《再谈金圣叹―论诗》一文，有网友问我说你确定“赤日炎炎似火烧”那首诗是金圣叹所作？我还挺自信地回复说“确定”。今天早上来打开电脑一看，好几个网友都在讽刺，有点动摇，上百度一查，原来是宋人白胜所作。汗死了，叫你这个古诗门外汉还来出乖露丑？本来应当潜身缩首，羞见人面，但我仍忍不住要来谈金圣叹，我也不知道是为了什么，只觉得胸有郁气，喉有骨鲠，不吐不快，实不能自已。我也知道言多而必失，但我宁愿认错，闻过知改，而金圣叹之名不可不彰欤！
一代文坛怪杰金圣叹死于清顺治十八年的“抗粮哭庙”一案：吴县贪官任维初强加赋税，杖死民命，后高价卖粮三千石，中饱私囊，行贿上司。金圣叹激于义愤，向巡抚朱国治致信状告，不想朱国治早得贿银，金圣叹的状子写得言辞峻切，文风犀利，看得他如芒在背，冷汗直流，顿生杀机。后逢顺治帝驾崩，吴县众生员借文庙哭祭之机大散传单，揭露任维初的贪污舞弊与草菅人命。朱国治下令当场抓到十一人，官府行刑逼供文庙管钥程翼仓并令其连夜检举参与秀才的名单，追查索捕。程翼仓连举六人，皆不中朱国治之意，吴县廪生吴风提醒他举报金圣叹，金圣叹被拘。后又被吴风使计诬加“通海”一案，十八人一同问斩。
任维初克剥地方，金圣叹写了一篇《十弗见》进行抨击，一时传抄者众。后又写一纸条递入，上书“此之谓，恶在其”六字，人皆不明所以。吴风解道：“大人，这联语就是‘此之谓民之父母矣，恶在其民之父母耶’。这个联语，正是以貌似不明白的语气，来讽刺您的。”是以任维初对金圣叹恨入骨髓。程翼仓连举六人，皆不中朱国治之意，便说吴县生员有上千人，本着“法不责众”的心理，可朱国治说便是上千人也要举报。吴风对程翼仓说只金圣叹一人足矣，便举上千人也是无益。程翼仓泪流满面，说：“金圣叹一代人杰，岂非可惜？”但迫切希望金圣叹被斩的是朱国治、任维初和吴风一干人，程翼仓自身尚且难保，又何能为金圣叹开脱呢？
大家可能有些奇怪，这个廪生吴风为什么处心积虑，必要置金圣叹于死地呢？原来他们也是早有过节。他与金圣叹同在吴县，对于金的名声早有不满，常对人说金不配为他提鞋，他才是吴县真正第一风流才子。吴风当年妻子亡故，写下一联，高悬自家门前，以示哀悼，也有卖弄文采之意。金圣叹加批相讥，读书人尽相转抄，闹得满城风雨。现在遇到这个机会，以他小人心性，当然要报这“一箭之仇”。还唯恐“哭庙”案不能致金圣叹于死，又对朱国治献计诬加“通海”一案，说金圣叹曾通过讲经的途径，向郑成功和张煌言的匪军宣扬，说《水浒》宋江等一百单八人都要杀掉皇帝老儿，而今你们怎么不能将关东鞑子打出京师云云。后金圣叹身陷罗网，家亦被抄，终于遂了这个卑鄙小人的心愿。
我觉得文人的遭殃，往往并不在他的伤时骂世，而在他不觉间刺痛了一些小人的神经，这些人一旦找到机会，就会回以致命一击。金圣叹之死，并不在“哭庙”一案，早在他上书朱国治时，就已被朱判了死刑。而在他写出《十弗见》之后，也已被任维初视作眼中钉，肉中刺，更不用加上吴风之流的挟嫌报复。朱国治胡乱判案，金圣叹被拖下堂去，一路传来他的喊声，依稀是：“我此生再无其他，不过文章传世，却也因言获罪，泄露天机，也是罪有应得吧。哈哈??”
金圣叹批《水浒》，批《西厢》，细数作文之法。他的学生曲江廖燕在《金圣叹传》中说：“文章奥妙的秘诀，就是天地奥妙的秘诀，如果阐明得太透彻，不可避免会触犯鬼神的忌讳，这样看来先生的功业，大概也有一些致祸的原因啊！”我听说“仓颉造字，夜有鬼哭”，人类将产生文字，鬼何以哭？难道说人类将掌握光明之器，而鬼族只能永堕沉沦？文人有逸才，往往目光敏锐，而又喜针砭时事，当不得遭忌乎？金圣叹说他自己“泄露天机”，我看这个“天机”并不是他指出了文章做法，“触犯了鬼神的忌讳”，而是他泄露了朱国治、任维初、吴风一干人的“天机”，遭到了报复更为确当。
我们都知道三国杨修之死，也并不是因为“鸡肋”一案，而是他恃才放旷，屡犯曹操之忌所致。曹操自作聪明，佯称梦中杀近侍，杨修指近侍尸身叹道：“丞相非在梦中,君乃在梦中耳!”恐怕早在此时，他就已经被曹操判了死刑。还有“竹林七贤”之一的嵇康，本身倾向于曹魏皇室，又在《与山巨源绝交书》中大放厥词，已颇招司马氏的忌恨。钟会身出名门，少年才气，而他不屑于顾。钟会撰写完《四本论》时，想求嵇康一见，又怕嵇康看不上，情急之中，竟“于户外遥掷，便回怠走”。显赫后的钟会去看他，他不加理睬，在家中打铁。钟会觉得无趣，悻悻离开，嵇康终于发话：“何所闻而来，何所见而去？”钟会答：“闻所闻而来，见所见而去。”钟会对此记恨于心。后来在吕安一案钟会进谗，嵇康被司马昭所杀，不过是“缓期执行”耳！
金圣叹在他那三首“绝命诗”中有“天公丧母地丁忧，万里江山尽白头”的句子，所以相传当时苏州六月飞雪，我独不取。虽说戏剧《窦娥冤》中为显示冤情，有“夏雨雪”的场景，但在戏剧则可，在史实则谬。刑场上，刚逾知天命的金圣叹，泰然自若，临刑不惧，昂然向监斩官索酒畅饮，边酌边说：“割头，痛事也；饮酒，快事也；割头而先饮酒，痛快痛快！”只见寒光闪处，伴着这惊天地、泣鬼神的千古绝唱，一代才华横溢的饱学之士、文坛巨星过早地陨落了。
曲江廖燕在《金圣叹传》中说：“我读先生所评的各种书，标新立异，见解卓越，超乎常人所想，我感觉千百年来，到他这里才别开生面。先生画龙点睛的评论，教人写作诗文的方法，使普天下后来求学的人，完全领悟写文章布局构思的方法，这是先生的功劳啊，这功劳又怎么会小呢！他的灾祸虽然冤屈一时，但是他的功劳确实为以后千年万代开拓了局面，难道不卓异吗！”我看他倒不像在为金圣叹做传，而像是一篇追念金圣叹的悼文，因为整篇文章看起来文采斐然，情真意切，沛然出自肺腑。我为金圣叹之死而叹息，也为金圣叹有廖燕这样的学生而欣然矣！
