城市垃圾的现状

据报道,中国约有2/3的城市陷入垃圾围城的困境。我国仅“城市垃圾”的年产量就近1.5亿吨,这些城市垃圾绝大部分是露天堆放。它不仅影响城市景观,同时污染了与我们生命至关重要的大气、水和土壤,对城镇居民的健康构成威胁,垃圾已成为城市发展中的棘手问题。垃圾不仅造成公害,更是资源的巨大浪费。每年年产1.5亿吨的城市垃圾中,被丢弃的“可再生资源”价值高达250亿元!北京市现日产垃圾13000吨,全年生产495万吨,而且每年将以8%的速度递增。我国目前处理生活垃圾的方法除露天堆放外,还有卫生填埋,这种方法避免了露天堆放产生的问题,其缺点是建填埋场占地面积大,使用时间短(一般十年左右),造价高,垃圾中可回收利用的资源浪费了;再是焚烧,使垃圾体积缩小50%~95%,但烧掉了可回收的资源,释放出有毒气体,如二恶英、电池中的汞蒸汽等,并产生有毒有害炉渣和灰尘;第四种是堆肥,这种方法需要人们将有机垃圾与其它垃圾分开才行,它具有很好的发展前景。北京市现处理一吨垃圾花103.49元,一年的处理费用就是5亿多元。这还不包括建设垃圾处理场的费用,建一座大型垃圾填埋厂就得花1~2亿元,建一座大型垃圾焚烧厂就得花20多亿元,这又是一笔很大的支出。当前大量未经分类就填埋或焚烧垃圾,既是对资源的巨大浪费,又会产生二次污染。
