《清贫》是无产阶级革命家、军事家方志敏在1935年写的一篇文章，现收录在统编语文教材五年级下册中。
1935年8月6日，方志敏在江西南昌英勇就义，时年36岁。方志敏并没有出自己的书。
1935年被俘后，面对敌人的严刑和诱降，方志敏正气凛然，坚贞不屈，他用敌人提供劝降的纸笔，写下了《清贫》《可爱的中国》《狱中纪实》《我从事革命斗争的略述》《赣东北苏维埃创立的历史》和《在狱中致全体同志书》等16篇文稿，计14万余字，为后人留下一笔宝贵的精神财富。1935年8月6日，方志敏在江西南昌下沙窝慷慨就义，年仅36岁。
