知道长难句长什么样以后，咱们就“浅谈”一下与长难句有关的三个问题：
1. 为什么要学会读长难句?
2. 长难句难在哪儿?
3. 长难句的正确打开方式是什么?
这个问题从两个角度来解答
①从ETS出题者角度：第一，托福的阅读文章基本都来源于写给native speakers 看的学术期刊或者学科相关杂志，篇幅都不短，所以你想想看好几页的文章想要缩短成一篇700-800字左右，但又要尽可能多的囊括信息点，结果就是你看到了一句话写了四行。第二，ETS很喜欢在长难句处出题，甚至还为考察长难句专门整了一类题型——句子简化题;此外，细节题、推断题等题目的原文信息句也多为长难句;甚至，有些题目的题干也可能是长难句(都是痛苦的回忆有没有)。
②从学生角度，长难句的出现有可能会导致(但不局限于)
1. 题目句子复杂导致看不懂题
2. 看懂题了但看不懂原文定位句
3. 看懂前两者了却看不明白选项
4. 碰到“句子简化题”的时候找不出主要信息
5. 句子太长导致阅读回视从而影响了阅读速度
问题No. 2长难句难在哪儿?
1.长长长
除了主谓(宾)还含有很多以下成分：
从句、插入语、破折号、多短句、较长引导语
2.中英语言差异
1).中文是意合的语言而英文是形合的语言，也就是说英文句子通过自己的外(语)形(法)结(规)构(则)来传达意思，举个例子：walk—walked 就是+ed的一个形式上的改变，那意思的体现变化为从一个平时的动作变成了过去的动作。
2).中文的语义逻辑是从左到右一次顺下来的，而英文的语义逻辑有时候是从右到左体现(大部分是名词的后置修饰的锅)。举个例子：一个新东方教阅读的女老师。你会发现中文的修饰都堆在左边。如果把这个翻译成英文就会变成：a female teacher who teaches reading in New Oriental school 。所以要想读懂句子，词汇只是必要非充分条件，我们还要把句法玩弄于股掌之中。
问题No. 3长难句的正确打开方式是什么?
答：得形(句子结构)忘意(词意)，利用逻辑理解句子信息。
