划线部分相当于…, and from at the windows…不可变为from which…，可用where，但不如用from where更具体。

划线部分相当于…, and from on the top of the hill或from on the top of which…,不可变为from which，也可直接用where引导，但语义较为含糊，不如用from where更加生动、形象、具体。

六、定语从句与强调句型解题陷阱
The factory was built in a secret place,around____high mountains.

此题选C。
分析：前面有选行词place，后面句子的意思是，“在它的周围是一些很高的山”，所以后面这个句子是非限制定语从句。介词around加关系词which，因为后面是复数形式，所以选C。另外，非限制性定语从句中，地点在前，所以用倒装形式。
定语从句引导词有that,which,who,whom.使用哪种引导词需要由先行词决定，先行词就是that,which,who,whom,前的那个单词。之后再看引导词在定语从句中做什么成分。
1.that可指代物、人，几乎所有情况。但介词后不可用that.如：it is my house in _there is a dog.其中不能填that,只能填which.
2.which指代物，但先行词被形容词最高级,the,only修饰，或先行词是something,anything,nothing,somebody,等等不等代词，定语从句中引导词只能用that，不可用which.
3.who指代人，即先行词是人，并且在定语从句中做主语。
4.whom指代人，但其在定语从句中做宾语。
5.至于where,when等，其实是介词+定语从句引导词。如：it is a beautiful place in which there is a lake.其中，in which=where,他们俩可替代。
先看一个例句：This is the factory that I visited last Sunday.该句子里the factory 是被它后面的从句所修饰。被修饰的词叫做先行词。起修饰作用的句子叫定语从句。that 引导定语从句，引导定语从句的词叫关系词。关系词按词性分成两大类：关系代词和关系副词。关系词在从句中都担任句子成分但是没有实际含义。关系代词在从句中做主语、宾语或者表语。关系副词在从句中做状语。关系代词又因为先行词指人或者指物分成两组：修饰人的关系词有：who\whom\that \whose\as.修饰物的关系代词有：that\whose\which\as.关系副词有：where\ why \when \as.其中as既可以看成是关系代词又可以看成是关系副词。关系词的选择主要看定语从句中缺少什么句子成分，缺状语就选择关系副词，否则就选择关系代词。另外，that 的使用有些限制。这些知识网上能搜到的。如果需要更进一步的讲解就再问吧。
