doing ,done 是动词do 的变化形式，动词分为谓语动词和非谓语动词，谓语动词只能是 do,does,is/am/are doing,have/has done,will be doing/be done /is am/are being done /have/has beendone 等形式，单独的doing,done 不能作谓语，故称非谓语动词

谓语一般是动词原形或者过去式或者三单之类，而不是动名词和过去分词。
doing和done是do的动名词形式和过去分词形式，而do的各种形式变化中，能做谓语的只有do（复数或第一、二人称）、does（第三人称）、did（过去时态）。

doing是动名词，就是动词转化为名词的形式，这些不能用中文解释的，英语和中文的区别不应该单单在字面意思上去理解。
