《楚辞》篇名。包括9篇作品。依王逸《楚辞章句》的次序是：《惜诵》、《涉江》、《哀郢》、《抽思》、《怀沙》、《思美人》、《惜往日》、《桔颂》、《悲回风》。这9篇的作者，王逸都定为屈原。
《九章》各篇的思想内容，因并非出于一时一地，所以应当分别看待。其中：
《惜诵》表现了诗人在政治上遭受打击后的愤懑心情，内容略与《离骚》前半篇相似。
《涉江》似是自叙放逐江南的行迹，反映了诗人高洁的情操与黑暗混浊的现实生活的矛盾。
《哀郢》一说作于庄□暴郢之后，一说作于白起破郢（前278）之后，抒写了诗人对破国亡家的哀思及对人民苦难的同情。
《抽思》大概作于屈原被疏于汉北之时，抒发了诗人见疏于怀王之后的怫郁幽怨之情。
《怀沙》为屈原自沉之前不久所作，一说为怀沙石沉江，一说为怀念长沙，其中着重叙写了诗人正道直行、不随世浮沉的节操以及准备以死来殉理想、殉信仰的决心。
《思美人》反映了诗人思念其君而不能自达，但又不愿变心从俗的心情。
《惜往日》有人认为是屈原的绝命词。概叙了诗人一生的政治遭遇，为因谗人破坏和国君昏庸使自己的理想不能实现而深感痛惜，也表示了必死的决心。
《桔颂》一般认为是屈原早期的作品，通篇就桔的形象和特征作出拟人化的描写,可以看成是作者人格和个性的缩影。
《悲回风》则流露了一种低徊缠绵的忧苦之情。
《九章》各篇的艺术风格和成就，也不一律。其中《桔颂》一篇清新秀拔，别具一格，从辞赋的体裁上说，开了体物写志的先河。《哀郢》、《涉江》、《怀沙》三篇情景交融，诗味腴厚，在《楚辞》中允称上品。其写景之句如“山峻高以蔽日兮，下幽晦以多雨；霰雪纷其无垠兮,云霏霏而承宇”,宛然如画。抒情语句如“楫齐扬以容与兮，哀见君而不再得。望长楸而太息兮，涕淫淫其若霰”,恳挚缠绵,颇有回肠荡气之致。至于《惜往日》、《悲回风》二篇，艺术上较他篇略为逊色。《九章·桔颂》图清代门应兆作。
