几十年来，对书法、诗词、楹联均有很深的研究和造诣。撰联吟诗三千多首副，在多类报刊、杂志发表并获奖。有近百幅书法作品被德国、日本、韩国、越南、美国、澳大利亚、法国、台湾、香港等国家地区收藏。书法作品多次邀请入选全国大型展览并获奖。榜书屏条“中山遗爱”荣获纪念孙中山诞辰140周年三等奖；8尺屏条“删竹放春风”获第四届加拿大中华诗书画大展赛创作二等奖。2007年自撰墨联“中国印，奥运风”入选首届西冷印社楹联书法展。楹联作品在周恩来诞辰九十五周年全国征联大赛中获一等奖，九七香港回归全国征联二等奖。2008年楹联作品被评为首届白银凤凰文艺二等奖。天下第一宰相“管仲纪念馆海内外征联二等奖、孔子诞辰2550周年曲阜市海内外大征联入选作品十副，创甘肃联家入选新高，其中两幅被书写刻牌永久悬挂。百城迎奥运火炬接力全国大征联在泱泱一万四千余副作品中脱颖而出，入选四副，再创甘肃联家入选新高。“奥运皖风”全国大征联：“黄山有约，松针好绣天都景；青鸟来贺，云海常生奥运情”荣获三等奖。有上百副作品被海内外名胜景点、纪念馆、艺术博物馆收藏、陈列、雕刻悬挂。如曲阜、济宁、闻喜、大理、西天目山、黄帝陵、凤县、安泽、赵尚志纪念馆、川陕苏区将帅碑林，河南召公堂等，有近千副诗联书法作品入编各类大型出版文集。如《中国当代艺术家大辞典》、《中国诗词大典》、《中华魂》、《中国硬笔书法精英》、《中国书法全集》、《中国咏酒诗联大全》、《心香》等。2007年第二届个人书法展得到原中国书协主席沈鹏先生的赞许，并欣然题写展标。
