区别:LGA 775 跟 Socket最大的区别在于针脚数不同,前者使用775根针脚的CPU,后者使用771根针脚的CPU。而且定位也不同。

1、LGA 775(Land Grid Array),又称Socket T,是英特尔公司于2004年7月推出的处理器插座,用作取代Socket 478。它与旧式CPU插槽最大不同的地方是,其接点座设在底板上,CPU自身不带针脚,因而减少CPU插拔时针脚易损坏的问题。该插座支援的CPU有Pentium 4、Pentium D、部分Prescott核心的Celeron(Celeron D)以及桌上型的Core 2 CPU。现在新版LGA775已经支援英特尔45纳米处理器(需945系列以上的芯片组)。

2、Socket 771是Intel2005年底发布的双路服务器/工作站CPU的插槽标准,目前采用此插槽的有采用LGA封装的Dempsey核心的Xeon 5000系列和Woodcrest核心的Xeon 5100系列。与以前的Socket 603和Socket 604明显不同,Socket 771与桌面平台的Socket 775倒还基本类似,Socket 771插槽非常复杂,没有Socket 603插槽和Socket 604插槽那样的CPU针脚插孔,取而代之的是771根有弹性的触须状针脚,通过与CPU底部对应的触点相接触而获得信号。与Socket 775插槽类似的还有,Socket 771插槽同样为全金属制造,在插槽的盖子上也卡着一块保护盖。Socket 771插槽支持667MHz、1066MHz和1333MHz前端总线频率。按照Intel的规划,除了Xeon MP仍然采用Socket 604插槽之外,Socket 771插槽将取代双路Xeon(即Xeon DP)目前所采用的Socket 603插槽和Socket 604插槽。

当然,771接口是接服务器CPU的
775是接台式机或笔记本CPU的
