应该是这样的， 不只有if引导的条件状语从句遵循主将从现，所有的状语从句都遵循这个规律。 你说的这个句子They stopped talking as soon as they saw me.这里面as soon as 就引导时间状语从句。只要是状语从句，都是遵循主将从现规律的 但是 如果主句时态变成过去式呢？变成一般现在式呢？主句都不是“主将”，你还怎么要求从句是现在式呢 所以英语不是那么死板的， 你这个句子是典型的 主句是一般过去式 我初二想过这个问题根据我做过的题总结出的经验，我认为状语从句都会遵循这几点 1.主将从现2.主过从过（主句一般过去式，从句要是相应的过去时态，我的经验是，如果从句是条件状语从句，那么从句是一般过去式，如果从句是时间状语从句，那么如果这个时间在主句的时间发生之前，就用过去完成式，如果这个时间在主句时间发生之后，就用过去将来时。） 3.主句一般现在式，从句时态要根据实际情况，（比如是将来就是一般将来时，是过去就一般过去时，等等等等。） 所以有时候不要一味相信老师的话。。。

又不是所有句子都是主将从现的，一般是IF条件从句才会有这种情况，这里一---就，怎么会是将来时？

有些词后面跟的词本来就要加ingstop doing sth 停下做某事stop to do sth 停下来去做某事
