一提到商纣王，大家就会在头脑中浮现，荒淫无道，残暴不得，这样的印象，但是他却有一个儿子武庚，武庚不像他的父亲，商纣王一样昏庸无道，相反它十分的聪明懂得明哲保身、卧薪尝胆。此外，他天资聪颖，有口才，行动迅速，接受能力很强，而且气力过人，能徒手与猛兽格斗。他曾发动过一次起义，但最终因为得道多助，失道寡助，失掉了军心的他，再也无法唤起将士们的斗志，无法使军心凝聚在一起，他也因为军心不齐，不战而败。他终究是不敌姜子牙，最后被兵败处死。
当年历经商周一战，周武王宣布周朝建立，周武王为留下一个好的名声，所以选择善待商纣王的后人。于是周武王经过和丞相姜子牙和、周公旦、召公奭等商量后，决定封赏商纣王之子为王，统治商朝的子民，但是如此能干的他怎能甘居人下。恰逢在周朝建立的第2年，周武王因病去世，他的幼子周成王姬涌即位。但由于周成王年幼，于是由周武王的弟弟，周公旦代行王事，因为此事，引起了周武王群弟的不满和各种猜忌。
武夷早就有复国的野心，趁此机会，他顺势起义，暗地里联合原本监视他的管叔、蔡叔和霍叔，又与殷商旧地东夷的徐、奄、薄姑、熊、盈等方国部落联合造反。但是好景不长，没过多久就被周公旦出兵绞杀了。
纵观中华历史上下五千年，可以得出一个结论。这个结论就是，得民心者得天下，水能载舟亦能覆舟。只有善待百姓，才能得到真正的长久的统治。
首先是商纣王的儿子，他没有找准对的时机，在错的时候想要复国。并且很多关于复国的关键因素也没有把握到，得不到各方面有利因素的支持，复国难以成功。
因为当时商纣王的儿子没有把握到时机，他复国心切对于富国的一些重要因素没有掌握到，而且还有一些重要的对国家有益的人的其实也没有争取到。所以才会失败的。
虽然周武王死后国内有些动荡，但是商纣王的儿子面对的是姜子牙，周公，他没有胜算的机会。
因为没有把握好时机，错过了复国的最佳时机，而且轻敌，所以才会复国失败。
