There's no question we should learn english because of the fact that school requires it. If I don't learn, I can't pass my exam and My teachers will go hard on me and get my parents on their side to screw me up. On top of that, if I don't learn English I can't finish my basic 9 years education and I will never get a job no matter how smart I am and how useless those "knowledge" are. So, the question here is not why should I learn English, is why you asking me that question if the school requires it and everyone knows there's no other options for me whatsoever.
The bottom line is that I don't like English and I don't wanna learn it but no, it's out of question about what I am thinking, that's how sad the education format in China is and I sure not suppose it will change in any near future.
