一带一路 英文

一带一路的英文是The Belt and Road Initiative。

“一带一路”倡议诞生后的一段时间，外界对其英文表述一度是“One Belt One Road”，但后来官方表述确定为“the Belt and Road”。

对此中央党史和文献研究院爱尔兰籍专家肖恩做了这样的解释：“One Belt One Road”是直译，形式上非常贴近“一带一路”。Belt的意思是地带，但也可以指腰带，和One搭配起来可能会让人想起一条腰带，意思不是特别清晰。“the Belt and Road”能够让大家更好地知道我们说的是经济带，而不是一条腰带。

另外一个问题是“One Belt One Road”过于强调one这个词，“一带一路”包括“丝绸之路经济带”和“21世纪海上丝绸之路”，在大框架下有多条路线而不只是一条路线，用“the Belt and Road”就可以避免这样的误解。
