小组合作学习有以下好处：
1、开展小组合作学习为全体学生，尤其是为学习困难的学生提供了更多的课堂参与机会，增强了主体参与性。
2、中学生的小组学习活动虽然不能等同于科学家的研究工作，但是组织形式和探究过程的相似，为学生获得科学研究的相关体验提供了基础。
3、开展小组合作学习将个人独立学习成果转化为全组共有的认识成果，培养了群体意识和活动能力。
4、小组合作学习有互查作用，能使学生从别人的错误和方法思路中学到更多的知识。
5、小组合作学习后的汇报有利于开展有竞争的合作，还可以将小组共同的认识成果转化为全班共有，能激发创新，拓展思维，提高了教学时效。
6、小组学习过程中存在着自我评价和他人评价的过程，具有激励和导向作用。可以提高学生学习的自我监控、自我调节能力。
既然小组学习好处那么多，作为老师为何不多为学生创造这样的机会呢？在教学中，我是能用则用，但不滥用。如，读书时，小组评读；学习课文时，小组交流、讨论；课文延伸时，小组合作表演；预习课文时，小组汇总交流等等。通过小组学习，我深切体会到了小组合作学习能最大限度地发挥学生的主观能动性。
