Feed on 和feed with是我们常用的两个短语，这两个短语在含义和用法上是存在着不同之处的，具体区别如下：

相同点：两个词组的宾语均为食物。

不同点：feed on中文含义为“以.....为食”、 “从.....中得到增强”，其主语主要是动物，也可以是婴儿，宾语则为食物；feed with。

feed on……意为“以……为食”，只用于动物，指人时则用短语live on“以……为食”。

例如：Sheep feed chiefly on grass.羊主要以草为食。

feed with：这里的feed 也是及物动词，后接喂食对角，with 后接所喂的食物。

例如：Tom is feeding the monkey with a banana. 汤姆正在给猴子喂香蕉。
