3、面向育人。以育人为根本，促进人的全面发展，是创新创业教育最根本的价值体现。创新创业教育应注重激励和引导学生走上自我发展之路。通过各种类型和形式的创新创业活动，使学生养成包括逻辑理性思维、批判性思维、创造性思维在内的思维习惯和思考方法；
在知识体系构建中以问题和需求引导学生将他人传授的知识转化为自身内在的知识，形成运用、研究和创新知识的能力。
4、面向未来。“十年树木，百年树人”，创新创业教育不可能一蹴而就。面向未来开展创新创业教育，首先，绝不能短视。要摒弃急功近利思想，切实将服务国家创新驱动发展战略的当前需求与培育国家创新体系的未来生力军相结合，将促进学生的大学学习与终身学习相结合，把创新创业融入专业教育，而不能将其等同于岗位职业培训和企业家速成训练。
其次，绝不能搞短期行为。要把握创新创业教育的精髓，充分发挥高校文化传承与创新功能，既解决当下人才培养中创新精神和能力不足的问题，又在学生心中播撒创新创业的种子，厚培激发创新创业灵感、养成批判性创造性思维的土壤。
教育的主要功能
1、教育的最首要功能是促进个体发展，包括个体的社会化和个性化。
2、教育的最基础功能是影响社会人才体系的变化以及经济发展。现代社会重教育的经济功能主要包括：为经济的持续稳定发展提供良好的背景；提高受教育者的潜在劳动能力；形成适应现代经济生活的观念态度和行为方式。
3、教育的社会功能是为国家的发展培养人才，服务于国家的政治、经济发展。
4、教育的最深远功能是影响文化发展，教育不仅要传递文化，还要满足文化本身延续和更新的要求。
提高整个民族素质。由应试教育向素质教育转轨是基础教育的必由之路，实践证明学校要搞好素质教育应遵循"四个面向"的原则。一、面向全体教师是实施素质教育的前提德高为人范，技高为人师。教师的教育观念、职业道德和专业水平是教师人格和教育力量的体现，没有高水平的教师集体就没有高质量的教育，没有一流的教师就难以培养出一流的人才，离开了广大教师高质量的劳动素质教育只是空谈，在工作中应紧紧依靠广大教师充分发挥教师的主观能动性。首先应转变教师的教育观念和进行师德教育，并带领和组织教师学习《中国教育改革和发展纲要》、《中国共产党中央关于加强和改进学校德育工作的若干意见》及优秀教师教书育人的先进事迹等，明确素质教育是基础教育的本意，实施素质教育是时代所需，是"四化"建设所需。树立广大教师为教育事业奋斗终身的思想。其次要进行教师基本功训练，要求教师做到"五个一"，即练一口标准的普通话；写一手工整的钢笔和粉笔字；设计出一个简练适用的板书；表现出一种亲切的教态；拟设一套高质量的试题。教师应重视教学工作中的"三个面"：一手好字是脸面；讲课水平是为师之体面；良好的教学风格和教学质量是为师之局面。我校开展的"三课"活动，即领导干部和学科带头人的示范课，骨干教师的观摩课和青年教师的汇报课。"三课"活动发挥了示范课的榜样导向，观摩课的研讨和汇报课的学习创新作用，使教师得到了锻炼提高，部分青年教师脱颖而出，成为学校教学工作的骨干力量。二、面向每一个学生是实施素质教育的关键应试教育面向少数学生，造成巨大的教育浪费，更不适应新形势对人才的需要。21世纪的激烈国际竞争，占据战略主动地位的关键不是资源问题、资金问题，也不是设备和技术问题，而是人才问题。国家建设离不开高精尖人才，更离不开生产第一线的高素质劳动大军。我们在工作中做到使每一个学生进得来、留得注学得好，提出了"面向全体，抓好重点，提高一般，偏爱差生"的工作思路，不放弃任何一个学生，从而达到差生转化、中等生优化和优等生提高之目的。我们采取了一系列措施，把巩固率纳入每一个教职工的岗位责任制中，提出"班主任是控流工作第一责任人"的思想，在教学上进行愉快教育和成功教育，做到人人有进步，天天有成功。三、面向每一个工作过程是实施素质教育的保证全校教师在树立管理育人、教书育人、服务育人和环境育人的思想，实施素质教育的同时，针对影响学生成长的诸多因素，我们认识到社会、家庭和学校教育必须在教育的基本方向上保持一致，形成"三角形的稳定性"才能做到事事有人问，时时有人管，形成学校、家庭、社会三位一体的立体素质教育络，实现整个教育时空上紧密衔接，取得最佳效益。开学伊始，我校开办了家长学校，校长向家长阐述了我校实施素质教育的基本做法和进行素质教育的必要性，树立"不求人人升学，但求人人成才"的思想。形成共识，步调一致，同心协力搞好素质教育。四、面向学生的每一个方面是实施素质教育的重要内容要使学生德智体等几方面都得到发展，我们本着"合格加特长"的原则，使学生掌握合格基础知识的同时，个性特长也得到生动活泼的发展，我们严格按国家教委颁布的课程计划开课，有计划地开展丰富多彩的课外活动。如田径比赛，作文评展，书画展，歌咏演讲比赛，"三斜作品评展，寓思想教育、学科教学于课外活动之中，开发了学生的智力，激发了兴趣，使学生的个性特长得到了充分的发挥
