教师课上运用的教学方法应该符合教材特点和学生特点，并能充分利用现有的教学条件，促进学生顺利高效掌握所授内容。在实际教学过程中，学科不同，学生水平不同，要求教师能够根据具体的情况灵活选择不同的教学方法。比如：当学生对教学内容了解不多、学习不够主动积极时，教师要善于提出有趣味性的问题，激发学生的学习兴趣。当讲到全课关键性问题时，教师要通过一定方式引导全班学生集中精力，全神贯注，力求使每个学生都积极思考问题。如果有些问题学生难以理解，教师就要采取通俗形象的语言进行类比分析，辅以生动活泼的直观教学，为学生理解知识创造必要的条件。教师可以发挥学生的创造力，让学生自己动手制作贺卡、图画、设计一些表格等；举办全校范围的基础知识和操作技能比赛国，激发学生的学习兴趣。学生学习的兴趣越大，学习的动力越大，学习的状态越好，学习效果就越明显。
三、创建和谐的教学氛围，保持良好的学习情趣
和谐的教学氛围是提高教学质量的保障。我们不难发现，教学氛围和谐的课堂上，师生之间配合默契，教学活动开展顺利，教学效率高；反之，当教学氛围出现不和谐的音符时，课堂教学显得僵硬、死板。教师教得不顺心，学生学得不开心，师生之间的关系都非常被动，导致教学事倍功半。创建和谐的教学氛围，师生关系是关键。经常有教师抱怨“现在的学生都不好教，不敢惹”。由于中职生是从初中考上来的，年龄还比较小，正处于青春年少的阶段，自我意识较强，思维活跃，他们有自己独特的个性。教师严厉的教育和批评，让学生的叛逆心理加重，从心底不接受教师的说法。因此，教师要认真反思自己的教学方式是否符合青少年的心理，如何才能被他们接受，赢得学生的爱戴和尊重。只有把师生关系处理好了，师生之间友好相处，增进彼此的理解和沟通，才能达到教学相长，形成和谐的教学氛围。
四、书本理论与实践相结合
理论是实践的基础，而实践是理论的升华，两者密不可分。作为中职教师，理论和实践应一起抓。在学生掌握一定的理论知识后，就应当让他们去实践，检验自己的能力。有的学生在课上觉得什么都懂，可一上机就错误百出。有的学生课上听得如坠云雾，可一上机，就有种“拨开云雾见青天”的感觉。例如：在上文字处理软件Word时，讲到“首字下沉”“图文混排”“设置页眉、页脚”等时，学生听得目瞪口呆，但学生经过自己上机操作，便觉得豁然开朗。计算机是注重实践的学科，如果教师只是讲理论，学生即便记住了，仍然不会应用。因此，要理论联系实践，才能学以致用。教师要合理安排理论和上机的比例，在讲完书本知识后，让学生多上机操作，培养学生的操作能力，使学生加深对知识的理解。
五、提高教师的素质
教师素质的高低，决定着对学生实施各项管理及素质教育的好坏。所以，有效地提高教师素质是走内涵发展的关键。21世纪所需要的教师素质，既包括高水平的思想政治素质、敬岗爱业的职业道德，也要求教师通过不断地学习和接受培训，充实和更新知识，提高专业水平和能力，成为教书育人的专家和从事教育教学研究的高级人才。现代科学的突飞猛进为教育的发展和质量提高创造了极为有利的条件。同时，也为未来的教师提出了新的挑战。互联网的开通、多媒体的应用、现代远程教育网络的构建等都意味着学生的学习不再局限于课堂上，不再局限于学校，也不再仅仅通过教师和书本，而是通过多种渠道、多种形式来获得知识。这也意味着在学习的过程中，学生的主体地位更加突出，而教师的地位变为向导。中职计算机教师不仅要作为知识的传授者去开发学生的智能，而且要更多地致力于发现和开发学生身上的潜在创造性品质，激励并促进学生在道德、情感、判断能力和审美能力等方面的全面发展。
