扦插
扦插于早春进行，选择生长快、病虫少的优良植株作为采条母树，在萌芽前剪取2～3年生枝条，截成15～17厘米长作插穗。扦插株行距20×30厘米，直插，插后充分浇水，经常保持土壤湿润，及时抹芽和除草，发根后施追肥3～4次，幼苗易受象鼻虫、蚜虫、柳叶甲为害。
播种
播种育苗于4月采收种子，随采随播。种子千粒重0.4克，发芽率70～80%，亩播种约0.25公斤，当年苗高80～100厘米。移植宜在冬季落叶后至翌年早春芽未萌动前进行，栽后要充分浇水并立支柱。
