Hello\uff0ceveryone!I am very glad to stand here to share my speech with all of you.\u3000\u3000Well\uff0cmy topic today is about playing computer games .With the development of the national economy, computers are no longer much of a luxury for most of the Chinese families in cities, which has laid a solid foundation for the prosperity of business in computer games in recent years. And playing computer games is becoming a hot topic nowadays. Some people hold that it is bad. And others hold that it is good. However\uff0cin my opinion\uff0cplaying computer games makes us more knowledgable .Reasons are as follows. Firstly\uff0cit is clear that computer games is playing a important role in children\u2019s\u2035life .The games help to develop advanced thinking skills and are often played cooperatively rather than alone. The UK study concluded that simulation and adventure games - such as Sim City and Roller Coaster Tycoon, where players create societies or build theme parks, developed children\u2019s strategic thinking and planning skills. Secondly\uff0ccomputer games are often incredible exciting and dramatic for adults. Playing computer games are not only for entertainment but also bringing lots of meaningful information which they need. And more often than not, playing computer games is regarded as a way of getting away from high-pressure and unhappiness. All in all, \u3000If one plays computer games properly in his spare time, computer games can be an excellent source of joy. For example, something impossible in your real life can be realized in the computer games. You can pilot a space craft and travel in the universe. Every coin has two sides. If one plays computer games excessively, it may affect his eyesight and study.\u3000\u3000In a word, we must grasp the positive effects and make full use of them.\u3000\u3000That is all. Thank you!
We're all alive, all living, else we wouldn't be here right now, (轻笑) but what is life? To me, life is a journey, one where you don't know where you're going, how you're going to get there, or maybe not even where you want to go, but it's a wonderful ride, and as long as you work your way through, I trust that you'll find what you're looking for sooner or later.
I'm in my junior year in university, and by most people's standards, I have a whole life in front of me, and not to brag, but I do. (轻笑) And the best part of life, youth.
Youth is the age where you are old enough to know what you want to do, and still young enough to do it. It's the age with endless passion and endless possibilities. Needless to say, every turn you take will influence the rest of your life.
Unfortunately, for many people, youth is wasted, maybe in aimless endeavors, or perhaps fruitless labor, because passion is blind, and one wrong step may have you stepping off the edge of a cliff. That's why I think that we should be more cautious, and lay the foundations of life properly, with the acquisition of knowledge, the basis for all later success.
Of those knowledge, English is perhaps one of the most important. With the full onset of globalization, English is the language of the world, and thus a language that we will doubtlessly need in later life. Thus, if you're my age, please, take an hour or two out of your day, everyday, study some English, it's one of the basic skills you will need in the real world, and is bound to help you later in life.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I’m very glad to stand here and share my speech with you.
My topic of today’s speech is “make our voice heard.” I’d like to argue the impromptu speech in two sections. First I’d like to argue why people are afraid of those literatures will set a negative effect on our lives. And second part, I will share some of my thoughts with you.
Why those people are afraid of this kind of literature? I’m afraid that they are afraid of that teenagers are liked to imitate others. And teenager is just a crucial point for us to shape our personality, our view of life, and our value of the world. They’re afraid that we follow the bad example and lead a bad life in the future. And that’s why my parents, my family, and even the government would like to propose where thought that kind of literature as cynical ones.
But I would like to share some of my thoughts with you. Before I read the book of Mr. Guo jingming’s novel, I read anther fiction called “the catcher in the rye.” In that book I also read sex, violence, murder and rebellion. But that was regarded as one of the masterpiece in American history and awarded the Pulitzer Prize. I could not see any difference between Mr. Guo jingming’s novel and the catcher in the rye, because they both expressed the attitude as our teenagers and adolescents we feel about the world.
Now let me give you three reasons why we can read this kind of book and I’m not afraid of fears of the side effect. First, those literatures are not all bad. They have some positive points. They advocate friendship, love，loyalty, and so on. One of my classmates even cried for those books, but he is boy. He said that it was the first time that he felt that a friendship is that precious, because the stories that Mr. Guo jingming depicted in his novel, reflect him of old time he spent in his high school. And he bought four books of Mr. Guo jingming’s NEVER FOLOWER, HE NEVER DREAM, and sent them to his friends. His friends wrote a long letter to him. I think it is what we lack today, the communication between friends. But the literature seems bridge the gap.
And second reason is that we are not living in a world everything are depicted good. We’re living in a world both have good and bad, evil and holy. So, to that extent, if I’m confined in a world that everything depicted good, I will feel quite perplexed when I’m facing the real world. Is the real world really looks like what I read in the novel? We need something positive, also we need something cynical.
And the third reason is that our generation, I believe, they can make the decision. For parents, for families and for the government, they should assume the responsibility to remind us what is good, what is bad, what is cynical, what is optimistic, what is evil and what is holy, while, like others, like we, make the decision. Make our voice be heard.
