引起原因有：肛周脓肿：肛周脓肿是导致肛瘘的主要因素之一。细菌感染：由于肛管直肠部位是“排污”的重要通道，细菌非常容易侵入肛隐窝、肛门腺导管和肛门腺体，造成感染发病，逐渐形成脓肿，破溃而为肛瘘。结核杆菌、放线菌：感染形成脓肿，克隆氏病等难以自愈而形成特殊性肛瘘。还有便秘；饮食：喜食用辛辣食物,俗话说“吃辣辣两头”。长期久立或久坐者血液循环减慢，使身体内静脉回流受阻，直肠肛管静脉容易出现扩张。建议及时去医院就诊，对症下药，以免病情严重不可控制。
另外，还要特别注意肛门的护理，具体就是坐要悬空透气，便后要用水清洗，熏蒸坐浴要保证足够时间。肛门护理是肛肠疾病康复的基础，这个做不好，用药和手术都没有意义。
然而肛门护理做好并不容易，就需要肛肠康复包。里面有手持式卫洗丽帮助每次便后用水清洗；无痛透气垫帮助悬空透气肛门，促进伤口愈合；肛部水疗器放到马桶上帮助用坐姿完成熏蒸坐浴，确保时间。特别提醒肛肠康复包一般大的医院有，但是价格比淘宝至少贵一倍，建议自己提前准备好。
