8月5日10时50分，山西省气象局将暴雨应急响应提升为三级。同时，省重大气象灾害应急指挥部办公室启动重大气象灾害（暴雨）四级应急响应。

山西省气象局要求各有关单位和相关市气象局随即进入应急状态，严密监视天气变化，加强与应急、国土、住建等相关单位的信息沟通与工作联动，联合发布预警信息，积极应对随时可能出现的灾害影响。
