Predict the tendency of tobacco consumption and give your reason(reasons).As is illustrated in the cartoon(picture), the output of tobacco is about 14.2 billion pound. The population is 5.8 billion in the world while smokers are, approximately, 1.1 billion (,)which means twenty percent people are smokers all over the world. and(And) every year, we lost(lose) 200 billion dollars. What’s more, over 30 million people die of smoking directly and indirectly.
From the cartoon, we can conclude that the cartoonist wants to convey such a message: smoking is harmful to health, however, the population of smokers is larger than we (can)image. All of us accept the fact that the smokers are so many that the market of tobacco is so huge. Meanwhile, economically, smoking cause(causes) huge losses(loss). Besides, many people die of smoking. “no only is it smoking that kills people”, said Dr. Smith, ”but it is the fact that many people died from fire which is caused by smoking.” Obviously, smoking is dangerous.
To my best understanding, our government should require(order) all the cigarette manufacturers to write (down "Smoking is harmfuf for your health" in every package of cigarettes.
