可燃气体达到爆炸极限如甲烷、一氧化碳等,在空气中,甲烷在空气中爆炸范围为5% ~15%,氢气的爆炸极限4%-70%左右,一氧化碳的爆炸极限为12.5%—74%。;窒息或有毒气体的浓度都有标准,如人体耐受二氧化碳浓度的极限为6.55%。 正常空气中二氧化碳浓度为0.03%~0.04%,国家规定公共场所二氧化碳浓度的卫生标准是0.1%;CO毒性很大,正常人接触1小时为35ppm,不会有明显中毒症状,但超过就会中毒,严重会死亡。

一氧化炭不超过24PPM,含氧量不低于百分之二十

煤矿安全规程规定如下:
井下空气成分必须符合下列要求:
(一)采掘工作面的进风流中,氧气浓度不低于20%,二氧化碳浓度不超过0.5%。
(二)有害气体的浓度不超过表1规定。
