The Cowherd and the Girl Weaver （牛郎织女）
On the east bank of the Heavenly River lived a girl weaver, daughter of the Emperor of Heaven. She worked hard year in and year out, weaving colourful clothes for gods and goddesses.Since she lived all alone, the emperor took pity on her and allowed her to marry the cowherd on the west bank of the river. However, she stopped weaving after she was married. Greatly outraged, the emperor forced the girl back across the river and allowed her to join her husband only once a year. On the seventh day of each autumn, magpies would suddenly become bald-headed for no obvious reasons at all. According to legend, that day the cowherd and the weaver met on the east bank of the river, and magpies were made to form a bridge for them. And for this reason the down on their heads was worn out.

Rumour has it that the cowboy’s parents died in the prime time ,he was ill-treated by his brother and sister-in- law. One day ,his cow counseled him to marry the weaver .

Long ago, there was a boy named Cowherd. He got married to a girl from the heavenly palace. Soon they had a lovely boy and a girl. While the Cowherd worked in the fields , the heavenly princess weaved at home to help support the family. Villagers called her Weaving Girl. The family lived moderately but peacefully and happily. The Celestial Empress knew it and ordered her to go back home . So she had no choice but to leave. Fearing that the young man would catch up, the empress took out her hair spin and drew a big river across the sky, known to the Chinese as the Silvery River (the Milky Way in the West). She wanted to separate the family forever.

In Weaver Girl, it is said that Niulang's parents died early and were often abused by his elder brother and sister-in-law. Only an old cow accompanied him. One day Lao Niu gave him a plan to teach him how to marry a weaver girl as his wife. On that day, beautiful fairies actually went to the Milky Way to bathe and play in the water. Then the cowherd hiding in the reed suddenly ran out and took away the Weaver Maid's clothes.
The panic-stricken fairies rushed ashore, dressed themselves and flew away, leaving only the Weaver Maid. At Niulang's entreaty, Zhinu promised to be his wife. After marriage, the Cowherd and Weaver Girl lived happily and happily.
Zhinu also gave birth to a son and a daughter to Niulang. Later, when the old cow was died, he told the cowherd to leave his skin behind and put it on for help in times of emergency.
After the old cow died, the couple painfully peeled the cow and buried it on the hillside. When the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother of Heaven knew about the marriage of the Weaver Girl and the Cowherd, they were furious and ordered the Deity to seize the Weaver Girl.
The God took advantage of Niulang's absence and took the Weaver Maid away. The Cowherd went home without the Weaver Girl. He quickly put on the cowhide and took two children to chase him.
As soon as she was about to catch up, the Queen Mother was in a hurry. She pulled out the golden hairpin on her head and drew it toward the Milky Way. The once shallow Milky Way suddenly became cloudy and surging, and the Cowherd could not pass any more. From then on, Niulang and Zhinu could only see each other in tears, and for a long time, the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother could not overcome their sincere feelings.
They were allowed to meet once a year on July 7th. According to legend, every July 7th, the Magpies of the world would fly to the sky and meet in the Milky Way as Niulang and Zhinu bridges. In addition, when the night is quiet, people can hear the feelings of Cowherd and Weaver Girl in the sky under the grapevine or other fruit racks.

He took good care of it and learned that the old cow was the golden star of the sky and was beaten by the mortal. The cowherd then took it home.
Later, I got the guidance of the old cow. The cowherd found the place where the fairies bathed and played, and picked up one of the clothes. The name of the fairy was called Weaver Girl. They met each other and fell in love.
However, due to the violation of the rules, the Weaver Girl was brought back to heaven. The old cow told the Cowherd, after it died, put the leather into shoes and put it on the clouds.
