personality和characteristics有什么区别？
我大学的专业课有英语教学，其中，词语辨析是重要的一门课程，我对personality和characteristic这两个词非常熟悉，都可用来表示人或事物的特质，但在含义和用法上又有所不同，具体如下：
一：含义解释
personality 英 [ˌpɜːsəˈnæləti] 美 [ˌpɜːrsəˈnæləti]
n.性格;个性;人格;魅力;气质;气度;名人，风云人物(尤指娱乐界或体育界的);性格鲜明的人;特色

两词虽都能表示特质，但侧重点不同。
personality的意思倾向于描述人的“外在特质”，比如开朗、外向、内敛、积极、幽默等。这些特指你跟对方相处一段时间就能察觉出来。
而 character 更多指“内在特质”，比如公正、富同情心、有勇气、坚毅等。这需要花一定时间，积累足够多事例和信息才能发现和判断出来。

Character 可以说物和地点,强调特点，另外,有“角色,字符等意思”
