补救布局上的不足，对作品起到稳定平衡的作用。在书法作品上署名
盖章，以示郑重，可防止伪造；盖上富有雅趣、寓意的闲章，还可寄
托书者的抱负和情趣。因此，历来书家都非常重视用印，甚至自己刻
印，使、书印有机地结合起来，产生更美更强的艺术感染力。
二、书法作品上常用的几种印章
（一）姓名章
姓名章是题款署名用章。姓名有连在一起的，也有分开的。题款用章
，以一名一字为正，一姓一名亦可。款名，印字；款字，则用姓名章
。款有姓，可用名章，款无姓，或不落款者，应用姓名章，以利辨识
作者。古人用章，讲究礼仪；凡卑幼致书尊长，当用名章；平辈间用
字章；尊长给卑幼，用别号章即可。反之，则贻笑大方。现代书画家
张大千认为，姓名章的形状以“方形最好，圆形还可，若腰圆天然形
等都不可用。”
姓名章一般分朱文（阳文）白文（阴文）两种。一幅书法作品上盖两
方姓名章时，最好一朱一白，两章大小相宜。款尾用多章时，次序是
先姓名章，后字、号章。
（二）闲章
闲章亦称布局章，包括引首章、拦边章、压角章和腰章。
1、引首章
引首章是钤盖在书法作品右上的章，又称“随形章”，是随石料的
造型顺势刻成的的章，一般不宜为方形，而以半通、长方、圆形、半
圆形、随圆葫芦形、自然形、肖形等为好。书法作品上是否盖引首章
要看需要而定，如款首过于整齐，需“破形”；款尾印章分量太重，
需“提升”；作品上印章分布单调，需“调整”，这时应考虑盖引首
章。
引首章按内容可分为如下几种：
（1） 斋号章 世传斋号章始于唐相李泌端居室玉印。宋、元以
后，此风渐盛，书家几乎人人有斋号章。明书法家文征明云：“我之
书屋多起造于印上。”斋号通常称斋、堂、室、楼、阁、馆、轩、庵
等，如惟清斋、雪溪堂、磨剑室、笑隐楼、松风阁、来禽馆、赏雨轩
、乐天庵等。
（2） 雅趣章 即古之吉语章、词句章，多有寓意，富有雅趣，
或辑录具有哲理、发人深思的成语警句，或记录自己的情趣和心声。
雅趣章内容广泛，有勉人学习的，如“琢”、“师法”、“书痴”、
“精于勤”、“艺无涯”、“师古不泥”、“广采博取”、“观书为
乐”、“人好学则明”、“长期积累偶然得之”等；有表露情怀的，
如“恃德”、“明志”、“清趣”、“乐而康”、“苦中乐”、“惜
分阴”、“孺子牛”、“玉洁冰清”、“淡然天趣”、“老骥伏枥”
等；有表达笔墨情趣的，如“泼墨”、“笔耕”、“香田”、“神趣
”、“藏拙”、“癖于斯”、“心慕手追”、“业在砚田”等；有祝
愿吉祥的，如“如愿”、“长乐”、“美不老”、“吉日良辰”、“
人寿年丰”、“书翰长寿”、“天长地久”等。
（3） 年号章 用于记载书法作品的年代，如甲子、乙丑、丙寅或
一九八九年、一九九0年、八十年代、九十年代等。
（4） 月号章 用于记载书法作品的月令，如上春、如月、蚕月等
。
1、 拦边章
拦边章是指盖在书法作品一边的章，起拦边聚气的作用。
2、 压角章
盖在书法作品的边角的章称压角章。取右上角的称“迎首”，取两下
角的称“押角”。拦边章只管一边；压角章则可管两边，紧贴边角起
“拦边封角”、“补充空虚”和调整稳定画面的作用。
3、 拦腰章
长幅书法作品如条幅若仅在右上方盖一枚引首章，中间显得太空，可
加盖拦腰章，其内容多为书者的籍贯，亦可用书家生肖肖形印。拦腰
章应小于引首章和款尾姓名章，三枚章切忌盖在一条直线上。
上述种种闲章实则不“闲”，若铃印得当，既能起到笔墨的作用，又
能起到笔墨所起不到的作用。正如现代书画家潘天寿所说：“起首章
、压角章也与名号章一样，可以起到使画面上色彩变化呼应、破除平
板，以及稳正平衡等效用。”
（三）鉴藏章
鉴藏章是鉴赏收藏者用章。据载，鉴藏章亦始于唐，宋以后盛行。唐
太宗自书“贞观”二字作连珠印，唐玄宗作“开元”二字连珠印，皆
用于御藏书画。后来鉴藏名称颇多，如收藏，珍秘、审定、鉴赏、过
目等。鉴藏用章，应视字画之大小，以不损字面与画面为要。有些鉴
藏者为了自己流芳千古，盖章时往往破坏画面，这是要注意防止的。
三、钤印的艺术
书法作品上的印章不是随意钤盖的，而是有一定法度的。如若印盖得
不当，非但不能锦上添花，反而会弄巧成拙，破坏整幅作品的艺术效
果。因此，怎样钤印，需要认真对待，精心斟酌。通常情况可掌握以
下几点：
1、大小适宜
印章大小，应与作品的幅式大小相匹配，应与题款字相等为宜，小一
点亦可，不能大于题款字，大则不雅。如若款字细小，纸地逼仄，可
用小联珠印，自显周到。一幅作品钤用大小不一的两枚印章时，要上
小下大以求平稳，避免头重脚轻之弊。倘属几人合作，几人印章大小
亦应相当。
2、数量宜少
钤印数目，古喜单数。有钤印“用一不用二，用三不用四，盖取奇数
，其扶阳抑阴之意乎。”印数不宜多，过多则易杂乱，甚至喧宾夺主
。如若一幅作品用数印，需择不同形式的印面，避免雷同。
3、位置恰当
钤印，要慎视位置。一幅作品，总有虚实、疏密之处。密处不够紧凑
，可用印章补之；疏处如觉空荡，可借印章充实，宛如挪动小小的“
秤砣”，使画面均衡熨贴。款尾姓名、字号章的位置要安排精到，若
题款下留有空白，则钤在署款之下；若无空白，宜左不宜右。款尾印
章要保持适当间隔，既忌拥挤，亦防松散。一幅作品同时钤用引首章
和压角章，忌排放在一边。压角章宜放在左下角，与引首章成对角之
势。
4、轻重权衡
就印色彩而言，朱文印份量较轻，白文印份量较重。墨色淡雅之作，
宜钤朱文印，保持两者和谐一致；墨色浓重之作，宜钤白文印，使红
彤彤的朱色与乌黑的墨色产生强烈对比，相映成趣。若一幅作品钤用
数印，印色应有主次，即多朱配少白，多白配少朱，使之既有变化，
又协调一致。
5、风格一致
印章的风格，应与作品的书体，风格相协调一致。如单刀直入的急就
印章，不宜钤盖在工整秀丽的小楷作品上，奔放雄健的书法作品，不
宜钤盖娟秀工丽的铁线印章，否则，便格格不入，直接影响书法作品
的艺术效果。钤用闲章，不仅要注意使其内容与作品正文浑然一体，
不可违悖，而且应注意保持印章内容与风格的协调一致，如“祖国河
山”印不能刻得支离破碎，“一代英豪”印不能刻得纤细无力。如此
等等。
四 、印泥的使用与保养
一枚精美的印章，如果没有质地细腻厚重光洁的印泥，就不能将其风
神充分地显现出来，效果就会大为逊色。一般说，大字多用殷红印泥
。小字多用朱红印泥。尤其在字帖黑底上钤印，则必须用朱红印泥。
清朝以来红色加重，甚至为求古雅效果而多用古印泥，以求其深沉凝
重。更有讲究者，钤盖一遍，惟恐其色过浅，遂重盖一遍，以增其厚
重。当然需相重如一，这只能借助印规才能办到。钤印时下面的垫物
，可用胶皮或其他较软物，但不能过软，过软易失印迹。
印泥的材料是由朱砂、油脂和艾绒三者混合一起组成的。朱砂质重、
油脂质轻，若长期不调和，两者会分离，朱砂下沉，油脂上浮到表面
，甚至沾结变质，不好使用。因此，每隔一段时间，要用骨制的桨（
不可用金属制品）把印泥翻拌一下，使三者匀和。翻拌时，要顺一个
方向，不要来回倒。印泥要经常保持清洁。印章蘸泥前，应先揩擦干
净；特别是新制石印要注意清除笔道内的石屑，以免污染印泥。蘸泥
时，用力不宜过重，忌在印泥中央猛揿，可顺印泥的丝缕，用推拉的
手法，多蘸几次，使印泥均匀地沾在印面上。钤盖时，要持正按下，
用力均匀，勿动摇，勿偏重一侧或一角，这样，钤印效果就会比较理
想。
