大型历史纪录片《东方帝王谷》近日在中央电视台科教频道热播，这部片子之所以叫《东方帝王谷》，是针对“埃及帝王谷”而言的。在埃及尼罗河西岸一条山谷的悬崖峭壁上，埋葬着古埃及第17王朝到第20王朝期间的64位法老，他们并没有为自己修建宏伟的金字塔，而选择这里集中安葬，因此这条山谷被称之为“帝王谷”，在世界上具有很大的影响。其实，我们陕西的关中地区也是一处帝王谷，有众多的中国帝王埋葬在这里，至今有迹可考的就有72座帝王陵，多于埃及的帝王谷，因此把这里称为“东方帝王谷”。
统观《东方帝王谷》首期播出的前八集，我认为有如下几方面特点：
第一，场面宏大，气势磅礴。纪录片《东方帝王谷》大量采用了航拍技术，把整个陕西的地貌特点完整地呈现出来，对关中地区帝王陵墓的分布情况也一一清楚地标绘出来，使观众对东方帝王谷有一个整体的了解。此外，还采取了三维重现的方法，给观众以气势磅礴的观感。为了表现古代战争万马奔腾、波澜壮阔的作战场面，纪录片借用了许多电视、电影的相关场景，同时又采用了鸟瞰的手法拍摄了古战场地理地貌，获得了十分震撼的艺术效果。
第二，内容丰富，解读细密。关于西周历史，片子介绍了周部族在周太王古公亶父的率领下发展壮大，周文王励精图治、不断崛起，周武王以少胜多、击败商朝，周公旦制礼作乐，开启了此后三千年中国文明历史。片子以六集的规模详细拍摄了秦人是如何在西部崛起，从一个小小的部族发展为建立统一的中央集权的大帝国的全过程，尤其是对秦人早期的活动情况和生活环境进行了详细介绍。
第三，传播历史知识，弘扬正能量。这部纪录片不仅通过对历史的回溯，说明关中地区作为人类文明中唯一绵延不绝的中华文明发祥地值得深入地发掘，同时也向世界重述了古老中国发展历程，以探寻中华文明的复兴之源。而且，通过具体历史事件的评述和分析，描述了周、秦先民不畏艰难、艰苦奋斗、勇于改革、发展生产的精神，达到了发现中华民族原初生命力的目的，弘扬了历史正能量。
