How to increase well-being

It said that personal mental wellbeing is not a random happening \u2013 we can each choose to take steps to optimise this part of our lives. here are the recommended actions:

1. Connect \u2013 connect with the people around you, with family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, at home, work or in your local community. Social relationships are critical to our wellbeing.
2. Be active \u2013 exercise has been shown to improve mood and has been used successfully to reduce depression and anxiety. Participate regularly in a physical activity that you enjoy, and one that suits your level of mobility and fitness.
3. Take notice - practicing mindful awareness of sensations, thoughts and feelings can improve both the knowledge we have about ourselves, and our mental wellbeing. Reflecting on our experiences, and the things that we're grateful for, helps us to appreciate what matters to us.
4. Keep learning \u2013 learning encourages social interaction and increases self-esteem and feelings of competency. Striving towards personal goals that reflect deeply held values rather than being driven by external rewards is more likely to produce a lasting sense of satisfaction.
5. Give \u2013 practice "random acts of kindness", thanking someone, smiling, volunteering your time, and getting involved with your local community. Individuals actively engaged in their communities report higher wellbeing. Their efforts have a knock-on effect on others, creating positive social relationships and resilient communities.

And if any of you are feeling stressed: think about those five steps. Could they make a difference to you?

How to enhance happiness feeling

Comparing with others make us feel depressed, and always our happiness comes from others' eyes. How to enhance our sense of happiness is a hot issue worthy to be disscussed.

To increase index of happiness, we should have a good attitude and persperctive on things, and try to be real of yourself, never ask too much for materials but for a spirit which could lead us to be happy, keep an eye on the good things around, thinking about we you have possessed but not those unrealistic dreams.
Happiness is just around us, what we need to do is to pay attention on it.

  The sense of happiness is of great significance. As a vital factor of life, it brings us power, arouses our enthusiasm for loving life, and helps us to create a promising future. However, in contemporary China, it has become a trend for Chinese people to hold different views about happiness and the way to enhance it.
  In addition to material basis, the sense of happiness also refers to several others aspects. Firstly, based on a recent survey, a majority of individuals admit that they are no longer content with being fed and clothed adequately, and their happiness depends more on their success in careers, friendship and love. Secondly, a great many people claim that health is the key to their sense of happiness. It is health that enables them to build up a solid foundation for anything significant.
  As a college student, I am convinced that never can money equal happiness. To enhance our sense of happiness, we should educate, advocate and encourage our friends and classmates to enrich their knowledge, broaden their horizon and cultivate their ability.
