Abstract
This paper introduces the silicon removal mechanism of a new silicon cleaning solvent as well as how to use the new solvent in power plants. Analysis and comparison are made as to this solvent in terms of its economic returns, with a reference to the traditional limit load silicon removal method. Aided by the traditional limit load silicon removal method, the new solvent can effectively remove silicon compounds out of the system and has greatly increased the power plant's overall economic benefits. It has made significant contribution to shortening the period to start-up time of newly constructed units, and to saving energy and reducing pollutant emissions.
