热液型钨矿是我国最重要、经济价值最高的钨矿类型，分布范围非常广泛，各成矿区带均有产出，但主要集中在南岭成矿区，特别是华南造山系的后加里东隆起区，从行政区看以江西、广东为最多，常成群成带出现（图5-11）。热液型矿床一个重要特点是矿富、易选，矿石WO3品位多数在1%以上，大型矿床不少，但目前尚未发现超大型矿床。
热液型钨矿主要是岩浆期后气液活动的产物。据物质组分和产出形态我国热液型钨矿主要有黑钨矿石英脉型、白钨矿萤石型、云英岩型、花岗岩接触带上的伟晶岩型以及变质热液型等类型。黑钨矿石英脉是热液型钨矿数量最多、经济意义最大的类型。该类钨矿床分布在花岗岩及浅变质岩系中。含矿石英脉为岩浆演化末期的矿化气液充填（交代）于断裂裂隙中的产物。花岗岩即是内接触带矿脉的围岩，又是外接触带的矿脉的成矿母岩。根据其脉体形态及产出部位又可进一步分为：内接触带大脉型，内接触带细脉带型，外接触带大脉型，外接触带细脉带型。所谓大脉型即脉幅一般大于10 cm的含矿石英脉，而脉带型是指脉幅2～10 cm的含钨石英脉，平行密集或链锁交错呈带状产出，含矿石英脉密度一般大于1条/m。黑钨矿石英脉矿床形态十分复杂，无疑受构造压力性质（扭性、张性、压性、张扭复合等）和围岩性质的影响。我们常可见到矿脉的膨大缩小、尖灭再现、尖灭侧现，弯曲多支、侧羽状、马尾状等等形态。一个矿床矿脉的数量差别很大，对大脉型矿床由3～5 条到百余条以上，细脉带型矿床其数量则难于统计。矿脉的深度差异也很大，一般在变质岩中的外接触带矿床其深度要大于花岗岩体内的内接触带矿床。前者多在200～800m，个别最深可达1200m，已知大型钨矿床，深度均在500m以上。如著名的西华山（图5-12）、大吉山（图5-13）、黄沙（图5-14）、漂塘、盘古山、上坪等（朱焱龄等，1981；刘梦庚，1984）。

黑钨矿石英脉矿床主要矿石矿物有黑钨矿、锡石、辉钼矿、辉铋矿、绿柱石、白钨矿等，部分伴有铜、铅锌等多种硫化物。矿脉中脉石矿物主要是石英，次有云母、长石、萤石、方解石、黄玉、电气石、氟磷酸铁锰矿等。
石英脉型钨矿成矿元素组合类型很多，如钨锡组合（漂塘、珊瑚）、钨钼组合（茅坪）、钨铋组合（盘古山、大龙山）、钨铍组合（荡坪、千亩田、画眉坳）、钨铜组合（夏色岭）、钨铅锌组合（瑶岗仙、黄沙）等等。
脉钨矿床围岩蚀变在岩体内的蚀变有钾长石化、钠长石化、硅化、云英岩化；变质岩中有硅化、白云母化、钾化、电气石化；在伟晶岩和石英脉中有铁锂云母化、黄玉化、电气石化及绿泥石化等。在花岗岩体下部的钾（钠）长石化带、硅化带、云英岩化带常具面型蚀变特征，并常有晚期线型蚀变叠加；在石英脉旁侧的蚀变多具线型蚀变特征。岩体自下而上直到围岩具有钾（钠）长石化硅化带→云英岩化带→黄玉萤石电气石化带→碳酸盐化绿泥石化带的蚀变垂直分带。
外接触带的石英脉型钨矿床常具有“五层楼”的结构分带，即顶部线脉带、上部细脉带、中部细脉大脉混合带（薄脉带）、下部大脉带、根部尖灭消失带；内接触带的石英脉型矿床具“三层楼”的结构分带，即顶部线细脉带、中部大（细）脉带、根部尖灭消失带（图5-15）（古菊云，1984；邱瑞龙，1984）。总的说，自岩体向外向上物质组分具有硅酸盐→氧化物、钨酸盐→硫化物→碳酸盐的变化趋势。矿化具脉动特征，物质组分分带与各期次脉动强度关系密切。随着晚期矿化作用变弱，往往表现出后退现象，因而有些矿床出现逆向分带特征。

除黑钨矿石英脉型钨矿床外，热液脉型钨矿床在个别地区，特别是碳酸盐岩地层内还有含白钨矿萤石脉，如湖南东山、深坑里或含白钨矿方解石脉，如湖南汝城大山。
云英岩型钨矿多指在花岗岩内接触带中的云英岩块状体，其矿物成分以白云母和石英为主，二者之和一般大于90%。云英岩块体的体积不大，一般长十几米到几百米，宽10m到100余米，最厚可达数十米，钨矿体多产于岩体顶面以下20～60m处。云英岩体内常有黑钨矿、锡石、白钨矿、辉钼矿等浸染其中。云英岩型钨矿作为独立矿床的不多，如洪水寨、九龙脑，但伴生在其他内接触带脉钨矿床中则常见，如西华山、下桐岭等矿床中含钨石英脉两侧均有云英岩化带，或者产于花岗岩内的云英岩脉，如柿竹园。
伟晶岩型钨矿作为独立的钨矿床极为少见，典型的伟晶岩型钨矿有白石岗钨矿。伟晶岩型钨矿多伴生于石英脉型钨矿内，多为花岗岩接触带上的伟晶岩壳，或接触带附近的含钨伟晶岩脉。伟晶岩型钨矿其物质组分、围岩蚀变与石英脉型钨矿床相似，矿石结构构造主要为细脉浸染状或呈囊状“砂包”富集。
变质热液钨矿如广西大明山钨矿，矿体产于下泥盆统细粒含泥质砂岩中，含矿层位稳定，呈层状、似层状，主矿体走向长1000m，一般厚30m，倾斜延深3000m，矿石成分简单，主要为黑钨矿、白钨矿、辉钼矿、石英和方解石，近白云母花岗岩处有云英岩化，矿石矿物颗粒粗大，含钨较富，矿体中黑钨矿石英细脉呈细网脉状，在白云母花岗岩外接触带还见少量含钨石英大脉，表明成矿作用受后期叠加改造作用明显（图5-16）；沃溪式钨矿分布在雪峰山隆起区，赋矿层位为元古宇冷家溪群、板溪群，趋于在马底驿组底部和五强组底部富集，赋矿岩石为板岩、粉砂岩、砂岩夹碳酸盐岩薄层及薄层硅质岩，矿体主要赋存于层间断裂拉开的虚脱部位及主断裂旁侧羽状裂隙中，矿体呈层状、似层状，与地层大体稳合，但亦有层间脉分支与地层斜交的矿脉，单条层间脉长自数十米至300多米，延深300～1700m，矿石矿物主要是白钨矿、辉锑矿、自然金组合，脉石矿物为石英、绢云母、方解石等，矿体围岩蚀变弱，局限于矿体顶、底板附近，为硅化、黄铁矿化和夕卡岩化（图5-17）。
